A Study on Socio-Economic Profile of the Dairy Farmers in Aurangabad District, Maharashtra, India

If we look at the state's population growth patterns, milk and products must be used to ensure both food security nutritional security. Another possibility is that populace expresses various concerns like insecurity, perceived unemployment, etc., government responds by taking quick effective action address these concerns. The current study examines facets of dairy farming state production, consumption, sales. city Aurangabad was deliberately chosen for investigation. Two tehsils were randomly from zone, two blocks each tehsil. Each block has villages drawn random. 10% producers proportionately among all households in community. Dairying primary occupation 13.86% respondents, whereas major occupations 9.32%, 7.50%, 6.36% respondents labour, business, services, respectively. In contrast, majority (67.50%) chose dairying as their secondary occupation, followed agriculture (21.59%) with 20.00% respondents. stipulated time inquiry, farmers had have least one lactating animal. (43.18%) sold 4 7 liters per day, 34.55% 22.27 % who less than more milk, region, main industry one. As increased production farmers' goal, crossbred cattle buffalo native livestock. Farmers often sell cooperative societies, while some also independent shops.
